Why IntelyCare
IntelyCare exists to solve a problem most healthcare operators know intimately: shifts that need a nurse tomorrow. It is one of the largest per-diem nursing providers in the US, using AI-driven matching to fill per-diem shifts, local contracts and travel assignments with RNs, LPNs and CNAs. Two things separate it from the gig-app crowd. First, the W-2 model: IntelyCare employs its clinicians, so payroll taxes, benefits, malpractice and workers' comp sit with them, not with you. Second, the quality infrastructure — Joint Commission accreditation for health care staffing, ANCC-accredited training through its IntelyEdu platform, and a company-reported 99% of shifts earning a 5/5 facility rating.
For a med spa, this is an adjacent tool rather than a native one. IntelyCare's core markets are skilled nursing, assisted living, rehab and other post-acute settings, with outpatient and ambulatory clinics further down the list. But the underlying capability — a credentialed RN, on a compliant employment footing, covering a shift at short notice — has obvious uses in aesthetics: vacation and maternity cover, a nurse to keep treatment rooms compliant while you recruit permanently, or seasonal flex for high-demand months.
What stands out
The employment model is the real differentiator. Many staffing apps push 1099 contractors and leave facilities carrying misclassification and liability risk; IntelyCare's employer-of-record approach removes that entire category of exposure, which matters in a medical setting where a state board may one day ask who employed the nurse in the room. The platform experience is straightforward — post shifts, get matched, rate the clinician afterwards — and dedicated account management plus 24/7 clinical support means there is a human to call when a shift falls through at 6am. Credentialing is handled end to end, with a 'passport' system keeping licences and certifications current.
Watch-outs
The aesthetics fit is honestly marginal, and we score it accordingly. Nurses in IntelyCare's pool overwhelmingly come from post-acute care; do not expect injectables experience, laser competency or any familiarity with a retail-medical environment. Whatever they cover in your spa, you are training and supervising them on protocols yourself, and scope-of-practice guardrails remain your medical director's job. Pricing is quoted rather than published — typical for staffing, but it makes comparison shopping tedious, and bundled W-2 costs mean hourly rates will sit meaningfully above direct wages. Coverage is also market-by-market: strong in its established metros, thin elsewhere, so a demo conversation should start with how many active RNs they have within commuting distance of your postcode. There are no verifiable third-party ratings aggregates for the facility side of the business, so ask for references from outpatient or clinic clients specifically.
Who it's for
IntelyCare suits med spas that think of nurse coverage the way they think of utilities — something that must simply be on. If you need a dependable, compliant flex-RN channel for gaps and surges, and you are in a covered market, it is a legitimate option with better employment hygiene than most alternatives. If you are hiring aesthetic talent — injectors, laser nurses, permanent clinical staff — this is not that, and it does not claim to be.
