Our verdict

LeadAR is a capable, aesthetics-built CRM and marketing-automation layer whose real-time two-way sync with Aesthetic Record makes it a natural fit for that ecosystem — strong med-spa relevance, but its value is tied to Aesthetic Record and it has no independent reviews yet.

About

LeadAR is a CRM and marketing-automation platform built for aesthetic practices by Aesthetic Record, the EMR and practice-management company. Its core pitch is the tight, real-time two-way sync with Aesthetic Record: patients, appointments, invoices, leads and memberships flow between the two systems, so marketing automations can trigger off actual clinical and booking activity rather than a disconnected list. The platform bundles email and SMS marketing, social integration, in-app calling, funnels, websites, workflows, forms and lead nurture into one place aimed squarely at med spas, dermatology and plastic surgery offices.

For existing Aesthetic Record users, LeadAR is the natural marketing layer on top of an EMR they already run, which removes the integration friction that plagues bolt-on CRMs. Pricing is tiered — published plans include Promote at $297/mo and Grow at $397/mo, with an entry tier referenced for getting started — and every plan includes the Essential8 onboarding program and the Aesthetic Record two-way sync. The trade-off is that LeadAR's value is highest when it sits inside the Aesthetic Record stack; practices on other EMRs gain less from its defining feature.

Ideal customer

Med spas, dermatology and plastic surgery practices already using (or adopting) Aesthetic Record that want a marketing-automation and lead-nurture layer tightly synced to their EMR.

Our LeadAR review

Where LeadAR fits

LeadAR is the marketing-automation and CRM layer from Aesthetic Record, one of the established EMR and practice-management vendors in aesthetics. It is built for med spas, dermatology and plastic surgery offices, and its reason to exist is the tight, real-time two-way sync with Aesthetic Record: patients, appointments, invoices, leads and memberships move between the two systems automatically. That makes LeadAR most compelling for practices already running Aesthetic Record, who get a marketing layer that already knows their clinical and booking data.

Think of it as lead nurture and outbound marketing that triggers off what is actually happening in the chair, not a parallel contact list a staffer has to maintain by hand.

What stands out

  • The Aesthetic Record sync. This is the differentiator. Automations fire off real patient activity — bookings, invoices, memberships — which is exactly the integration depth that bolt-on CRMs struggle to achieve.
  • Breadth in one platform. Email and SMS marketing, in-app calling, social planning, funnels, websites, workflows and forms are all bundled, so a practice can consolidate several tools.
  • Aesthetics-native workflows. Because it is built by an aesthetics EMR company, the templates and automations are shaped for med-spa lead behavior rather than generic B2B sales.
  • Onboarding included. Every plan ships with the Essential8 program, a structured set of live coaching modules — a thoughtful touch for teams new to marketing automation.

Where it falls short

  • No independent validation. There are no verifiable Capterra or G2 ratings, so claims about results rest on the vendor. As a newer product, its reliability and support depth are not yet proven by third-party reviews.
  • Ecosystem dependency. LeadAR's best feature is the Aesthetic Record sync, which means its value drops sharply for practices on Nextech, Zenoti, ModMed or other EMRs. If you are not on Aesthetic Record, much of the appeal evaporates.
  • A layer, not a suite. This is marketing and lead management, not a standalone clinical or practice-management system — you still need the underlying EMR.

Who should choose it

Choose LeadAR if you already run Aesthetic Record (or are adopting it) and want a marketing-automation and lead-nurture layer that is natively synced to your EMR without integration headaches. The included onboarding and aesthetics-specific templates make it an easy add for that audience. Practices on a different EMR should weigh it against more EMR-agnostic CRMs, since LeadAR's standout advantage is tied to the Aesthetic Record ecosystem. Because there are no third-party reviews yet, ask for references during the demo.
